Wink Bingo sponsors hit Harry Hill show

UK’s favourite online bingo website Wink Bingo has decided to sponsor yet another hit TV show on ITV. This time Wink Bingo is sponsoring the show Harry Hill’s TV Burp. This is a weekly comic round-up of all the TV programmes for the week – the twist is that scenes from one programme are matched with dialogue from another, leading to some truly hilarious moments. This show is hosted by the popular comedian Harry Hill. Alongside Harry the show often features a number of guests.

Wink Bingo is sponsoring Harry Hill’s TV Burp on ITV since Saturday the 10th instant and will continue to do this right up to the 12th of December this year. Thus Wink Bingo will be sponsoring 10 episodes of Harry Hill’s TV Burp. A Christmas special episode is also on the cards, which will most probably be telecast on Boxing Day. The weekly show airs on Saturday nights at 7.30 pm with our favourite Wink Bingo commercials airing during the commercial breaks. Repeat telecasts will take place on ITV2 at midnight on Saturdays. As you may have guessed a new show sponsorship means new Wink Bingo commercials!
By popular demand the stars of the new commercials are the famous Wink kittens. These delightful little balls of fur are airing in 10 new commercials, each with a short clip featuring these naughty tabbies. A litter of 5 mixed tabby babies was used to shoot the commercials. And boy were they a handful! The little tigers were interested only in wandering off the set to explore and so, to keep them on the set and on the sofa looking as if they were actually watching TV, one person was engaged to dangle toys and such other interesting objects to keep the kittens entranced.

The new ads have the delightful little demons (read kitties) watching a TV show on an old fashioned black & white telly with a wooden cabinet. The kitties are watching the Wink Fruities, and staring intently at the different programmes. Quickly bored, they change channels only to find an ad with a large pink Wink Bingo logo and a voice that informs them that Wink Bingo is sponsoring Harry Hill’s TV Burp.

Just like always Wink Bingo has chosen to sponsor a top rated TV programme with a more than 8 million reported viewers. This huge captive audience of 8 million makes it an amazingly wise place for Wink Bingo to spend their advertising budget.

Harry Hill is one of the UK’s top comedians and is considered a comic icon. He has a number of awards and a very impressive Royal Television Society Award to his credit. His take on the weekly TV Burp takes a satirical look at the weeks shows. It has a commentary, a “TV Highlight of the Week” and myriad other segments.

Amongst the other highlights of these new Wink Bingo adverts is the introduction of the five Wink Fruities. These Fruities (a lemon, a cherry, an apple, a plum and a pear) can be seen in all the new Wink Bingo ads ‘acting’ in the different TV shows that the kittens are watching.
