Keno Losers could be Winners

An error in the New Zealand Lotteries ticket checking system has caused a bit of a fuss as the system had incorrectly advised players that their numbers have not come up. Keno players who might have had winning tickets were thus advised that they did not have the correct numbers in the keno game when the opposite could be true.

Apparently the issue lasted just under 3 hours on Saturday and was picked up after a number of complaints were received by New Zealand Lotteries.

In the interim our very own monthly Free Keno Tournament is going ahead and there are a large number of players competing for the top prizes. At this time there are no players from New Zealand playing but we hope that this changes in due course. Our numbers never come up incorrectly and we always ensure prizes are paid.

A New Zealand Lotteries spokesperson has indicated that if anyone had thrown their keno tickets away and wanted to have the results checked, they could provide the details of when and where the ticket was bought to see if they had won a prize.
